A $24 breath anchor for the meditator on your list.
StillPoint is a small, soft piece worn on the outside of the nose. It makes the breath easier to feel, so attention stays with it longer and the mind has somewhere to settle. No app, no battery, nothing goes inside the nose.

How it works
Same breath. More to feel.
01
It rests beneath the nose
Two soft wings hold the outer sidewalls of the nose. A low sill hovers just beneath the nostrils. Nothing goes inside, and the breath stays full.
02
It redirects each breath
The sill redirects airflow to where the breath is felt most. Cool air on the way in, warm air on the way out, both spread across more of the skin. The breath doesn't change in volume. It changes in vividness.
03
Attention has somewhere to rest
A breath that's easier to feel is easier to stay with. Thoughts pull attention away less, and it returns more easily. More time with the breath is where the mind can settle into calm.
"Like trailing your whole hand through water instead of one fingertip."
Three uses, one device: meditate, settle, wind down. It supports the practice; the practice does the settling.

The founder
It was his before it was a product.
The idea arrived at the end of a long sit, not in a meeting. Michael Usowski, a yoga teacher and longtime meditator in Marin County, California, was resting attention just below the nostrils, where many meditators follow the breath, and the breath had grown very subtle. A question came: what if the breath could be amplified, for greater focus?
StillPoint is the answer. He designs and makes each one in San Anselmo, a few at a time, and runs the company alone.
Bio, 40 words: Michael Usowski is the founder of StillPoint and a certified yoga teacher trained in kundalini yoga. He has practiced concentration meditation for years, including extended silent retreats, and makes StillPoint in San Anselmo, California.
Available for interviews, quotes, and product walkthroughs by phone or video. He can also drop a device off anywhere in the Bay Area.
